When Johnny started his business in 1980 he name it Johnny G's Butcher Block, over the years it has become also know as Johnny G's Meat Market.
We still offer the same qualify meat and products. Our beef is from San Antonio and Corpus, Pork from San Antonio and Chicken from the Weimar area.
Our meat market offers a retail counter, wholesale to restaurants/caterers and wild game processing services. The butchers cut the counter each day and to your liking.
During this time, we have had to limit some of our products: whole chickens(2), chicken thighs(2 lbs) chickens breasts (2) and 80/20 5 lbs.
We appreciate your support and practicing social distancing.
Our store is a State and County HACCP Plant.
Our staff have their food handlers certificate and we have our Food Certified Safety Management.
Grover and Jill Swift purchased the store in 2002.

Wymon Gillian, the owner of Wild Bubbas Wild Game Grill in Elroy Texas and Johnny G's have joined forces to make a wild game sausage. After months of research we decided to come up with something different, not like anything in any grocery store. Thus WILD BUBBAS THE ULTIMATE WILD GAME SAUSAGE was created. The Ultimate Wild Game Sausage has Elk - Antelope - Bison - Venison - Wild Boar - Pork and secret Johnny G's seasoning. A lot of the wild game sausages out there came already smoked, our thoughts were you can decide how to cook it: Grill - Bake - Fry - Smoke - Chop it up with eggs - however you want. We believe you will be able to taste the difference. For now this sausage is only available at Johnny G's Meat Market. We hope in the future to have it at restaurants and grocery stores.
